Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a casting, an event, a workshop and model sharing?
🎬 Casting: you're looking for talent (models, photographers, MUAs…) for a specific shoot — users apply for the roles. 🎉 Event: you're hosting something open (meetup, launch, gathering) — users register directly. 🎓 Workshop: you're running a paid lesson or training — users sign up. 🤝 Model sharing: you've already booked a model for your shoot and you're sharing the slot with other photographers/videographers who join as second shooters (only PHOTOGRAPHER, VIDEOGRAPHER or BRAND can create one). The kind decides who joins and how the flow works.
Does it cost anything to join or apply?
Nothing on FindAShoot — we take no platform fee. For Paid castings the fee is settled directly between the parties; for paid events or workshops, the ticket price is arranged and paid OFF-platform (typically via chat after registering).
Does FindAShoot host or guarantee the events?
No. FindAShoot is only the listing space — the organiser is solely responsible for the event, payments, logistics and any refunds. Always check the organiser before signing up.
What do TFP and Paid mean (for castings)?
TFP (Time for Photos): no monetary compensation — both sides receive the images for their portfolio. Paid: there's monetary or in-kind compensation for the selected creative.
What happens after my application/registration is accepted?
Castings: the creator contacts you via private chat to agree on details and (for Paid) compensation. Events/workshops/model sharing: registration is auto-confirmed; use the chat to coordinate logistics and ticket/slot payment if applicable.
